1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Doggo Eats. These Terms of Service govern your use of our mobile application, website, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Use of Our Service

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Service. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you are over 13 years of age.

2.2 User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.

2.3 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any purpose that is illegal, harmful, or otherwise objectionable. This includes:

• Attempting to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service
• Using the Service for any harmful or abusive purpose
• Uploading invalid data, viruses, worms, or other software agents through the Service
• Collecting or harvesting any personally identifiable information from the Service
• Using the Service for any commercial solicitation purposes without our express consent

3. Important Safety Disclaimer and No Warranty

Doggo Eats is designed to provide information and guidance related to dog food scanning, nutrition analysis, AI coaching, AI-generated nutrition protocols and diet plans, and prescription medication lookup — but it is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

While we strive to provide accurate information, our database and AI-generated guidance may not be comprehensive or applicable to every individual dog. Food safety assessments, nutrition scores, food catalog results, AI Coach responses, AI-generated nutrition protocol plans, and prescription medication information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your dog's specific circumstances. Prescription scanning surfaces information from third-party sources (including DailyMed) for informational purposes only — it does not constitute a treatment recommendation. All medication and treatment decisions must be made by a licensed veterinarian.

Always consult with a qualified veterinarian before introducing new foods to your dog's diet, especially if your dog has existing health conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions.

If you believe your dog has ingested something toxic, contact your veterinarian or pet poison control immediately rather than relying solely on our app.

4. Nutrition Protocols and Diet Plans

The Service may offer structured "nutrition protocols" (for example, weight management, elimination diet trials for suspected food allergies, and food transition plans) that generate a personalized, AI-assisted diet plan for your dog based on information you provide, including your dog's body condition, weight, symptoms, current food, and any instructions you choose to enter from your veterinarian.

Eligibility to see or start a given protocol is based on information you provide and is informational only — it is not a diagnosis and does not confirm that the protocol is appropriate for your dog. The resulting plan, including any calorie, portion, feeding-pace, or timeline recommendations, is AI-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuited to your dog's actual medical needs.

Weekly check-ins, progress scoring, and outcome messages shown for a protocol are motivational and informational tracking only — they are not a clinical evaluation of your dog's health, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome from following a plan.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Doggo Eats and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Doggo Eats.

6. Crowdsourced Product Contributions

When a product barcode is not found in our catalog, you may manually submit product data — including the barcode, product name, brand, and ingredient list. By submitting this information, you grant Doggo Eats a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, store, and distribute that product data as part of our community catalog.

Crowdsourced product data is anonymized and treated as community infrastructure. It is not personal data. If you delete your account, your personal information is permanently removed, but product contributions you made to the catalog are retained in anonymized form to continue benefiting all users.

By submitting a product, you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Doggo Eats reserves the right to review, correct, or remove any submitted product data at its discretion.

7. Subscription and Billing

Some features of the Service are offered on a subscription basis. You will be billed in advance on a recurring basis, depending on the subscription plan you select.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your account settings after purchase.

7.1 Refunds — In-App Purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play)

If you purchased your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is billed and processed entirely by Apple or Google, not by Doggo Eats. All refund requests for these purchases must be made directly to Apple or Google, and are subject to their respective refund policies:

Doggo Eats has no ability to issue, approve, or override a refund for a purchase made through Apple or Google's in-app purchase systems.

7.2 Refunds — Web Checkout (Stripe)

If you purchased your subscription directly through our website (doggoeats.ai), that purchase is processed by Stripe. For web purchases:

• If you have not meaningfully used the premium features during your current paid period, you may request a refund for the unused portion by contacting us.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and, once approved, may take several business days to appear depending on your bank or card issuer.
• We do not refund periods where premium features were meaningfully used, except where required by applicable law.
• Approving a refund immediately cancels the associated subscription and access to premium features.

All refund decisions for web purchases are made at our discretion on a case-by-case basis. This section does not limit any statutory refund or cancellation rights you may have under the law of your jurisdiction.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or delete your account through the app settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Doggo Eats, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content
• Reliance on food safety information, nutrition scores, AI Coach responses, food catalog results, AI-generated nutrition protocol or diet plans, or prescription medication information provided through the Service
• Any harm, injury, illness, or death to your dog or any other animal as a result of information or guidance obtained through our Service

You acknowledge and agree that our Service — including food scanning, food catalog search, AI Coach responses, nutrition guidance, AI-generated nutrition protocol and diet plans, and prescription medication information — is intended for informational and guidance purposes only. You are solely responsible for verifying any information or alerts provided through our Service with a qualified veterinary professional before acting upon it.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes.
